A COMMUNITY EVENT:
A Bowl of Soup:
At 7 pm on 27th March at St Josephs Church Hall, CCP hosted the first ever "Christchurch Soup Event".
During the evening the sponsors of up to 5 local community projects made a 5 minute pitch - the lucky winner "Waterlily" took away all the monies collected during the evening, an amazing £660.
Voting for the winning project was simple, after the presentations and everyone having eaten their soup and roll (paid for the princely sum of £5 on arrival) their bowls were placed into the appropriate washing up bowl, the successful project was the one with the "most washing up"!!
A huge thank you to all the Presenters and everyone involved in the setting up of this now annual event - watch this space for next years' date!!!
The winner of the
"Volunteer of the Year Award" 2017
Mr. John Churchill.
