News, projects and plans
CCP is a busy place to be right now. We have plans and projects for the whole of 2024, each one aimed at eradicating social isolation in the Christchurch area. Our fabulous new minibus is now in action, and we have launched a range of new activities, including our Thursday Lunch Club, Sunday Roasts, and our increasingly popular Coffee Connections mornings. We are also supporting NHS Dorset in a new research project whilst working with local individuals and organisations bringing exercise classes, music and games to local community members in need of social interaction.

Take a seat! We are delighted to announce that CCP is now hosting seated exercise classes at Bure House. Led by our wonderful instructor Sara, the weekly classes bring residents and non-residents together to enjoy some gentle exercise and good company. The classes were specially requested by Bure House residents, but non-residents have also been able to attend thanks to our fantastic new bus and fabulous volunteers. Those attending tell us the classes are great fun and they feel the benefit – and one attendee even shared that she no longer falls as she used to.

Susie Kimber comes to Coffee Connections
February 2024

Here are some photos from one of our Coffee Connections a couple of weeks back. The wonderful Susie Kimber popped by to treat everyone to a Coffee Connections morning of singalong songs and feel good music. As you can see from the photos, smiles abounded as everyone joined in the songs and enjoyed a morning full of warmth and joy. Isn't music wonderful? Big hand to the enterprising bingo session organisers who whipped up the funds and to the awesome duo that is Charmaine and Elaine for organising the rest.
