Get your tickets for Christchurch Soup – Monday 17 November

Join us at Christchurch’s own Dragon’s Den to enjoy an evening's entertainment and support local children and young people

Tickets are available now for the 2025 Christchurch Soup, a live crowdfunder event that will see children and young people's groups pitching for funding to support local projects.

The event will take place on Monday 17 November from 5-7pm at GodFirst Church, and is open to all.

Guests will each receive a bowl of soup, roll and drink, and can then vote with their bowls for the project they believe deserves the funding. Live entertainment will be provided by the brilliant Swing Unlimited Community Band. Entry is £6 per person, which will go into the pot to support the successful bid, with a funding pot of over £1,000 up for grabs.

The organisations and projects pitching at this year's event are:

  • Bournemouth Hockey Club – essential equipment for goalkeepers that will help remove barriers to participation, promote safety and encourage inclusion

  • Highcliffe School – a new lighting desk to help the school create incredible visuals for concerts, productions and more, bringing the community together

  • Kudu Explorer Scouts – new lightweight tents and activity funding to help the scouts enjoy expeditions, and build independence and confidence

  • Mudeford Infant School – a wildlife pond and sensory area for the school's learning garden, to help children learn, value and find the fun in the garden

  • Portfield Sixth Form – new karaoke equipment to support the 'Singing for Connection' project which brings together neurodiverse pupils, helping them to build confidence, express themselves and connect with one another

  • Somerford Primary School – a series of cooking lessons for children and parents in the professional school kitchen, to help families learn how to cook healthy meals, and gain the skills and confidence to do this at home

The Christchurch Soup event is hosted by Christchurch Community Partnership.

Rev Sandra Prudom, CEO at Christchurch Community Partnership, said: "We can't wait for this year's Christchurch Soup! There are some fantastic initiatives pitching for funding, from local schools to scout groups and even a hockey club. Last year's event saw over £3,000 donated to local projects and brought together over 100 people to enjoy the evening, so we hope this year's event will be a similar success!"

"The live crowdfunder creates a great atmosphere for the young people to pitch their projects. Like a live Dragons Den, but a little bit less scary!"
