Christchurch Community Partnership plays a vital role in tackling social isolation and loneliness across our community. Our 2025 Impact Report highlights a year of growth, collaboration and meaningful connection, with services expanding in response to rising demand.
We are proud to have supported more than 900 people in 2025, including 304 regular clients and 610 people who took part in one-off community events. The majority of those supported were older residents, with 67% aged over 80, demonstrating that CCP is reaching those most at risk of isolation. Events and activities were a key focus in 2025 – some 234 were delivered in total, from weekly lunch clubs and seated exercise classes to day trips and coffee mornings.
Transport remained a cornerstone of our work work, with minibuses and volunteer drivers travelling over 9,000 miles, enabling people to get out, stay active and feel part of their community. Large-scale community events were also a key success over the year, with October's ElderFest bringing together over 30 organisations and some 325 people to showcase support for older people
CCP’s Chief Executive Rev Sandra Prudom said: “2025 has seen the launch of exciting new projects alongside the expansion of services we know make a real difference. Increased demand shows just how vital this work is, and it’s been inspiring to see what can be achieved when we work together.”
The impact on local people is clear – as one client’s daughter explains: “CCP has put the structure back into my mum’s week. She’s made friends, enjoys a hearty meal, and has something to look forward to – it’s been incredibly reassuring for our family.”
Strong partnerships have also been key. Catherine Boulton, Senior Health Programme Advisor at BCP Council, commented:“If only every area could benefit from a Christchurch Community Partnership. Their collaborative approach truly improves quality of life for older residents.”
With 86% of clients reporting they feel happier and 88% feeling less
lonely as a result of our support, CCP’s work continues to create lasting, positive change.
